Ship-2-Shore INHIBITORS

These rust and corrosion inhibitors go on liquid, and remain liquid forever. After 24 to 48 hours the solvent component (5-7% odorless kerosene) flashes off leaving a liquid barrier coating that never becomes a sealer but remains a penetrant, moisture displacer and oxygen scavenger.

Although remaining liquid, it becomes very tough (performs well in waste water/ballast tanks), yet clean and clear. This product contains no silicone, paraffin, lanolin's or other ingredients that can become sealers.

INDUSTRIAL

At 65°F. it has the approximate viscosity of light grease. It is temperature sensitive, [warmer = thinner]

In a temperature range -45%F to 100°F. the hotter the temperature, the shorter the life.

@ 65°F and below, the life expectancy permanent.

COVERAGE

One litre covers approximately 42 sf @ 10 mils.

A 20 litre pail will cover 840 sf @ 10 mils.

PREPARATION

Remove the heavy and or flakey scale with a needle gun, wire brush, or high pressure wash.

Ship-2-Shore can be applied on wet metal but dry is preferred.

If you can't prepare, then apply enough Ship-2-Shore PLID to soak the area thoroughly.

APPLICATION

For 5-20 mils. use right out of the bucket. No mixing or dilution is required or desired.

Use paint brush, roller or a regular paint spray system with a .015 tip.

If it is too thick to be easily sprayed, warm Ship-2-Shore to 60-70°F and under unusual circumstances it maybe thinned with odorless kerosene by 5-7 %.

REMOVE ODOUR

Ventilate the site naturally or with fans for 24 to 48 hours or until odors are removed.

BILGES

Industrial is a stand alone coating but if painted bilges are desired, then needle gun the surface, and apply a rust converter, and apply a cheap porous gray primer, and then a top coat with Industrial @ 10 mils.

CABLE DRESSING

Apply by mitting, hot bath or a high pressure application system.

REMOVAL

Clean up with soap and water when the application is fresh.

Older applications will require solvents, high pressure wash or steam cleaning with a high alkaline cleaner and scrubbing.

CAUTIONS

When spraying out doors, a painters mask should be worn.

In enclosed spaces, provide ventilation and wear an approved organic mist respirator.

MISCELLANEOUS

The shelf life is indefinite in a fully closed container. Keep the lid on when not in use.

There is an extremely low fire hazard, and no explosion hazard.

Ship-2-Shore can be welded in and around the material, and metal can be cut with Ship-2-Shore present. Maintain a fire watch while doing so.
